Hi League,

Happy New Year to Everyone.

This is just a message to remind everyone that our 2023 Season’s Registration
is starting on Wednesday Feb 1 this year.

So lets all put that date in our calendars. And as always, please sign up as soon as you can.
This helps our Registrar to get his work completed in a timely fashion.
(And believe me, the Registrar has lots to do)

There will be more information to follow right after our next board meeting, which is already scheduled
for Jan 18th.

Thanks Everyone,
Paul M

Here is your first Quote of the New Year,

“Opening day. All you have to do is say the words and you feel the shutters thrown wide, the room air out, the light pour in. In baseball, no other day is so pure with possibility. No scores yet, no losses, no blame or disappointment. No hangover, at least until the game’s over”

Indoor Batting Cage Information

Hi Everyone,

This information regarding the batting Cages was passed on to me from Murray Cumming.

“Anybody interested in keeping their batting eye sharp over the winter should think of getting a group together.
The Absolute Baseball Academy at McMahon stadium is once again giving our members a break on the price of the batting cages ( half price), during weekday afternoons.
The deal is that we can use the slopitch batting cages (2) for $10.50 for an hour from Noon – 4pm Monday to Friday. If no paying customers need the cages then we can continue as long as no-one else (full paying) wants it. Nov. thru March are usually quiet though. Generally school holidays are out because it gets busy.
I have a couple of interested people for Mondays at noon and more are welcome.
Unfortunately the deal isn’t for working people after 5pm, but I’m working on it.”

Thanks for that information Murray. It is very much appreciated.

Cheers Everyone,

Paul M
