AA Manager Search - Condition Critical

Hey Everyone,

Time is getting short for our AA Manager Search !!
Come on guys, we are getting desperate for someone to step up and manage one of our AA Teams.
Come join the Ranks of all the other Volunteers that help make this Awesome League Run !!
Yes that’s right, we are all volunteers. All the Managers and Coaches, all the Board members, myself
included volunteer for this league.

No more thinking about doing it, we need you to do it !!

This isn’t rocket science and will not take up much of your time.
It’s just a matter of reminding the players to bring their gloves when they run onto the field, show them which end of the bat is where they hit the ball, try to keep them awake, assign one guy each game to buy the Beers at JT’s afterwards etc etc.
I mean seriously, have you seen the other managers, if they can do it surely you can to !
(no disrespect intended to any other managers)

Please send me an email back ASAP so we can close this off of our Books.

Thanks Guys,
Paul M

Hi Everyone,

Wow, what a Beautiful day out there in Calgary today !!
Feels like Spring is not too Far away and feels like, ’Today is the First Day of the Rest of My Life"
(inside joke)

Quick update for everyone.
As of a few moments ago and with less than a month to go until registration ends,
we have 229 Registered People.
and that number includes 23 New Players and 9 Returning (after an absence Players)

Looks like we are on track to be hitting our regular quota for the 2023 registration numbers we need for AAA, AA
and A Division. With Monday Rec still to be determined, but it looks to be 3-4 teams.
So, for all you late registrants, please sign up soon so as to not miss a potential player
Cap. Once we hit the numbers for these teams you do not want to be left out.
After we hit last years team numbers we need enough players signing up after that to fill complete new additional teams.
So if 2 or 3 guys sign up late that won’t be enough for an additional team. We want more teams to be sure, but we need a big push to get there.
Don’t be left in no mans land guys.
Please Get signed Really Soon.

Cheers Everyone,
Paul M

And how about a Quote for All to Enjoy !!

Hello Everyone,

It is with Great Sadness that I must announce the Passing of Long Time and Beloved League
Member, Rob Dean.
Everyone will remember Rob for that Great Big Laugh and his infectious smile and of course his great softball ability
and his Love for the Game, that we all enjoy.
Rob first joined our League in 2005 and played for 16 years, right up until 2021, only missing 2018 during that time.
Rob last played for the Cubs in our AA Division but played many years with our AAA Group.

Our League President, Ron DiPasquale sent me these kind words about Rob,
“A guy that was usually heard by his laugh long before you saw him “Rob Dean”. A Sad time for his Family and our Softball community for sure, RIP – Rob, you will be missed”
and Past President and Current Board Member Dave Finn commented,
“Sad news indeed…. We are losing way too many Great Guys. He will be truly missed”

Please read the attached Obituary below that Rob’s daughter, Tara sent to us.

Heartfelt Condolences to Rob’s Family, Friends and all that new him from our League.

Hi Everyone,

Our Registrar, John Schmidt, sent me the Official Current Registration List earlier today and asked me to post it
for all to see.
This List will include info on whether you are paid up or not with CSMS 55+ and Alberta 55 Plus.

Simply find your name and look to the side for a code and then find the code below that applies to you.

The codes are,

5A or 5AP – fully registered
5AU – AB55 verified but CSMS unpaid
A – AB55 unverified and CSMS paid online
AP – AB55 unverified and CSMS paid offline (check mailed in and received)
AU – AB55 unverified and CSMS unpaid offline (check has not been received yet)
W – Withdrew

The vast majority are going to be listed as 5A or 5AP, which means fully registered with CSMS 55+
and Alberta 55+ (approx 85%)
Everyone else will be a combo of
not confirmed or verified with Alberta 55+ and paid offline or online with CSMS 55+
or Alberta 55+ is paid but not CSMS 55+,
or neither are paid.
And a few mailed in a check with the incorrect amount (you paid last years fee not this years fee),
that will be code 5AU

Don’t get hung up on all the different codes. Just match the code shown by your name with the list shown.

At the time this list was sent,
209 People had registered and that includes,
28 New and returning Back to the League Players
(21 New and 7 returning Back to the League Players)

Cheers Everyone,
Paul M
