Taco Tuesday!
Hi everyone,
Triwood is going to have a Mexican food truck at the Community Centre tonight, and every Tuesday for a while because of the market going on.
On a trial basis, they’re going to have the truck hang around until after the evening games. So Rockhounds and Blue Jays, head on over for some Tacos with your beers after the game.
Let’s try to support Triwood in any way we can, especially after they recently suffered a big loss via criminal break-in.
If the Rockhounds and Blue Jays scarf down enough tacos after their game tonight, the rest of you can expect to see the Taco Truck there each Tuesday night for a while.
Saludos amigos!

Attention All Small Engine Mechanics !!
Hey Everyone,
Our awesome grounds crew, Mike and Rick, have asked me to reach out to the League’s Small Engine Mechanics for some help with the league’s Push Mower.
If any of you have that type of experience or know of someone that could have look at our Mower, it would be greatly appreciated. (and Yes, I already asked them if they put Gas in it)
Please send me an email and I will get any and all info passed on to our Grounds Crew.
Cheers

Collision Avoidance Tips - A Great Video!
Hey guys,
Safety should be our highest priority, especially at this time in life! With orange bases and scoring lines, we do a pretty good job of avoiding collisions on the base paths. But as we all know, there is always the potential for serious collisions between fielders when going for a fly ball in the outfield or infield. I personally had a team-mate who while playing for another team collided with another outfielder and suffered permanent mental impairment.
Bob O’Brien is one of the premier senior men’s slopitch players in North America and a stellar instructor. He has put together a really helpful video and put it on his YouTube channel for everyone to learn from. The video was taken at the Senior Men’s slopitch camp he teaches, in this case in Colorado Springs last May.
Click on this link to view the 33 minute long video, and consider talking over the collision avoidance strategies with your team mates.

This is worth posting even if it means just one fewer injury in the field. Have a look. The slopitch career you save might just be your own!
