Graham Brockway's wife Lana Has Passed Away

Posted by Gary Paukert at Oct 30, 2020 6:49AM PDT ( 1 Comment )

Hello Senior Men’s Slopitch,

I’m sad to have to report that Graham Brockway lost his wife Lana last Monday, October 26th.

Graham is a long-standing member of our league.

Lana passed away from cancer. The funeral or celebration of life service information will be available at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions. We’ll let you know via this website and emails when we get that information.

Our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt best wishes are with Graham as he faces this devastating loss. I urge those who know him best to contact him and express their condolences and support.

Best regards,

Gary Paukert

League Members:

Because of the recent increased spread of the COVID-19 virus, the CSMS League Board of Directors has been reconsidering the format and date for the Fall AGM.

We have decided to postpone the in-person Fall General Meeting scheduled for next Monday, October 26th at Triwood.

Instead of that meeting, we are looking into having a live or hybrid live-virtual meeting in mid-November.

Please keep an eye on your email for an upcoming announcement.

Best regards,

Ernie French
President, CSMS League

Hello League Members,

Damien Skelling of the AA Division lost his wife last year and would like to pass on the following thoughts to his friends in the league:

_"Our family has faced a difficult loss this year. In Cleo, we lost a loving spouse, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Part of that loss is being able to gather friends and family together to celebrate the beautiful and wonderful life that she lead and to remember all of the excellent memories. It weighs heavily on us that we have not been able to hold a memorial service. _

_As we reflected during this Thanksgiving weekend, as I am sure many of you did, the now not-so-simple ability to gather together has become such a reminder of how critical those personal connections are. Holding a proper memorial service is important to us, and by proper we mean that we will be able to gather together, give each other hugs, share some food, and enjoy the opportunity to reconnect.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we watch for the right time to safely hold the service. Thank you for all of your kind words and caring thoughts these last few months. The tough days are lightened by the loving friends and family around us. -Damien"_

Best regards,
