Hello League,

Although the season is fast coming to an end.
This is a reminder to all players to not leave any valuables in their vehicles when they are parked in the school parking lot at Charleswood 2 diamond.

In a recent playoff game between the Rockies and the National, five league members vehicles were broken into and items were missing from those vehicles.

Damage occurred to several of those vehicles including broken windows.

Thanks everyone for your attention to this important issue.

But this years Bragging Rights belong to the Gold Medal Winners, The Jays.

Good Morning, League:

Today’s the DAY for Division ‘A’!

At 10:00am, the Phillies and Brewers will face off for the Bronze medal. Then the Championship Gold Medal Game for 2022 will take place at 11:30am between the Dodgers and Jays. Both games at the Triwood diamond.

City of Calgary Ward 4 Councillor Sean Chu will be in attendance. Ward 4 includes the Triwood area and the Councillor will be throwing out the honorary first pitch for the Championship Game. Mr. Chu will be in at Triwood to learn about the diamond situation and our petition that the City release the Triwood Baseball diamond to the jurisdiction of the Triwood Community Centre.

If you can make it, come on out, see an exciting game and show Councillor Chu what our League is all about!

Best regards,

Gary Paukert

Mike Church Update

Hi Everyone,

This is an update / Info for the “AA” Division.
I just wanted to clarify that there will be 2 “AA” divisions for the upcoming Mike Church Tournament.

There will be a Competitive Division made up mainly of the Travel Tournament Teams.

But there will also be a Recreational Division (the Fun Division) made up of players from both “AA” and “A” Division.
The Teams in this Division will be Average Age teams and will not be your Regular Team you play for in the League.
(although there may be some guys from your current team that end up playing with you).
You will be placed on a “new” team for the tournament. This is how the Tournament was originally set up and meant to be.

But you can let your current coach or manager know that you are interested and they can send along the info to Kelly Toombs listing players names that are interested and Kelly will form the Average Age Teams.

So if you are not playing on a Travelling Tournament Team, please throw your name into the ring and come on out for some great fun for a Great Cause and meet and play with some guys you may have never played with before or met before.
I look forward to seeing everyone on Sept 10th and 11th.

And FYI, the MAN VAN is confirmed for Sunday Sept 11th from 11am – 2pm.

Cheers Everyone,
Paul M
