Hi Everyone,

FYI this message is only for New Players and Returning Back to the League Players and All Division Coaches and Managers.
All others can disregard this message.

New Player and Played Before Player Evaluations have now been confirmed and will take place as originally scheduled on Saturday April 22nd 11am until 3 pm and will now only be held on that day. No Evaluations are scheduled for Sunday April 23rd.
We have a smaller group this year so one day will be enough.
The other major difference is we are moving the Evaluations Indoors this year so that weather will not cause us an issue.
We will be holding Evaluations at Webber Academy Athletic Park
Click Link Below for Directions.

Hi Everyone,

Just a follow up to the request for volunteers tomorrow at Triwood to help dismantling the outdoor arena located on the Triwood Diamond closest to the Arena.

So far I have 8 officially registered volunteers and 3-4 others that mentioned to me at the General meeting on Wednesday that they would also come out to help.
So if everyone shows up then things should go very quickly.
The League and Triwood Community really appreciates any and all volunteers that come out to help.

If anyone else is interested, please show up at Triwood for 9am tomorrow morning.
Thanks Everyone.

Paul

Did you know,
“There have only been 15 unassisted triple plays in MLB since 1909 and virtually all of them came as a result
of a similar play. An infielder catches a line drive for the first out, steps on the base to make the second out before runner can tag up , then tags the runner trying to advance, from either 2nd to 3rd (3 times this has happened) or 1st to 2nd (12 times this has happened) An unassisted Triple Play is rarer than throwing a perfect game”

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that we held a great Spring General Meeting last night at Triwood.
There was lots to discuss and items to review. Great job by this years Board for having all the info ready and for the Board Members for their briefs on their Committee Items.
We had a great Turnout which is awesome to see. I counted 63 members in total at last night’s meeting.
As always, there were some great discussions and questions asked by the members in general so that is always a positive thing to have. Nice to see so many invested members in the League !!

I also want to Send a Huge thank you to our good Friends at Triwood for having Collingwood Room ready for us with all the tables and chairs set up, as well as the screen and projector set up before hand and ready to go. And of course Renee was awesome helping out and looking after all our orders from JT’s Lounge.
Thanks to Everyone at Triwood !!

I also have a couple of Photo Albums to share with everyone.

Click on the following Links to see pictures from the meeting and pictures of our Years of Service, Pin Recipients from last night.

And here is a bit of MLB fun facts for everyone to enjoy,
“A Fitting Farewell. Rare are the Times a great player gets to go out on top in the style that Ted Williams managed in 1961.
Playing in what he knew would be the final game of his career, on Sept 28th, 1960, the “Splendid Splinter” hammered his 521st home run of his career, then went into the dugout and never played again"
