Sorry, boys – the link I provided in the previous email doesn’t appear to work, and will probably give you a warning message if you click on it.

Instead, scroll to the bottom of the email and click on the attached document where it says: “Click here to view the document.”

That should download the document to your browser where you can open it.

TeamPages would like to take this opportunity to apologize for being a big pain in the ass.

Hello all:

Please check your status, either with the attached .pdf file, or by clicking on this link:

https://www.teampages.com/organizations/3209/documents/540584

The status is as of June 08, 11:00 am. Registration ends on June 14.

If you withdrew for 2021, this is your last chance to change your mind about whether or not you want to play or not.

Some of you have not paid either us or Alberta 55. You are not registered until you do.

Make sure you are registered for what you signed up (check the Reg 4 column).

  • RO Rolled over into Fulltime player from 2020
  • FT Full time player (probably signed up in 2021)
  • Dbb Playing both AAA/AA day and “regular” evening ball
  • Dbo Playing only AAA/AA day ball
  • Rep Replacement player
  • Alum Alumnus – no need for Alberta 55
  • Oth Other
  • P Haven’t received your payment
  • W If your status starts with a “W”, you have withdrawn for 2021

Examples: If your status is “5, A”, you are in the draft pool. If your status is “A”, we’re missing something from you.

If you disagree with your status, please email me at john.sch@shaw.ca or call at 403 455-0723. If you want to change your registration, please phone me first – there may be an easy way to do it.

Cooler Left at Charleswood 1 Yesterday

Hello all,

Paul McNeil found this cooler on the bleachers at Charleswood 1 after a practice about 4:15 yesterday.

Since it had some beers in it, and alcohol is prohibited on City diamonds, of course there is no way it could belong to anyone in our league. But perhaps one of you knows the non-league person who left it there.

If so…have them contact Paul McNeil at Paul.McNeil85@GMail.com….!

Cheers – no, strike that…Best Regards,

League:

Today was a good day! A VERY good day.

The AHS announcement today means we’ll soon be playing ball again. Your Board had a plan ready for this day, and we are ready to throw the switch and move forward. Here is that plan:

June 14 Registration closes
June 21/22 Mandatory evaluation sessions for new players 2020 and 2021
June 23 AAA draft
June 24 Dayball draft
June 25 AA draft
June 27 A draft
June 28-July 2 Practice week
July 1 Umpire clinic
July 5 Regular season begins

The season will run into September in order to maximize the number of games and we will finish off with a tournament at Charleswood/Triwood, rather than playoffs.

The Province of Alberta expects to be without any significant COVID restrictions by July 1st, (Stage 3). We expect to be able to do all the preparatory work under Stage 2 after mid-June.

If you have been hanging back, wanting to wait and see what the status of the pandemic in Alberta, or the provincial restrictions will be, we encourage you to now register through the website or contact John Schmidt.

Further information, for instance about times and locations, will be forthcoming as we get closer.

But it was a VERY good day.

Hello all,

Again this summer, the Triwood Community Centre is going to have an on-site Farmer’s Market every Tuesday afternoon from 3:00pm to 6:00pm through the end of September.

The market is growing rapidly and this year will have 35 different awesome vendors, selling meat, eggs, fruit, vegetables, honey, tea, coffee, miscellaneous essentials and lots of creative stuff made by talented people.

Best of all, JT’s restaurant will be open for concession-style ice cream June 1-14 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm, and ice cream is FREE on opening market day June 1st.

Drop by an check it out on Tuesdays, especially if your right next door playing ball!

The Triwood Community Centre is a great supporting partner to the Calgary Senior Men’s Slo-pitch League. Let’s all make a big effort to support them right back.
