The Calgary Seniors Slo-Pitch League was formed in 1981 when a few retired men got together to form a team.
1981 - The team was called "The 60's". They went to Bassano, Alberta and played in a tournament. No score is available, as nobody would discuss the bad beating.
1982 - 1990 - The team played in the Post Office mixed Slo-Pitch League. The other teams in the league were considerably younger than the seniors. The youngsters were very good sports and accepted us as we were.
The Alberta Senior Games, the first of its kind in Canada, were held in Camrose, Alberta in 1980, 1982 and 1984. Calgary did not send a slo-pitch team. Calgary teams did participate in Grande Prairie in 1986, Vermillion in 1988 and Hinton in 1990. There were no wins at any of these games.

A Calgary team attended the Seniors Summer Games in Medicine Hat. A one run loss to Vermilion kept the Calgary team out of the medal playoffs. Playoff couldn't be held due to an overnight snowstorm on August 22, 1992. Of note, Calgary finally won a game at the Senior Games.
